With 70% more votes than the former mayor, 19-year-old John Hammons from the University of Oklahoma claimed victory in the mayoral race Tuesday of Muskogee, a city of 38000 in US. Hammons, to be sworn in next week, will continue his college education but transfer to a school closer to the city to balance his study and new duties.(See photo)
