Prints
From Rodarte's Chinese porcelain to Stella McCartney's citrus fruits, prints are in this Easter. It's not the season for small subtle prints, but bright and bold prints that really make a statement. Prada showcased some gorgeous tropical print using vibrant fruit motifs and bold stripes so don't be afraid to go for striking, quirky prints. This is a really wide-ranging trend so you can opt for prints on anything; trousers, blazers, shoes, tops and skirts will all work well.
Bold colour
If you have a brightly coloured piece lurking in your wardrobe that you've never dared to wear, now is the time to whip it out. The bold and the beautiful are right on trend, as this Easter it's all about colour blocking and wearing deep vibrant colours. If you're not sure about bold colours then work them into your wardrobe gently by wearing one bright piece with other plainer clothes. A luminous green, pink or yellow skirt can be teamed with a black or white top; similarly a bright jacket can be worn with a plain t-shirt and jeans.
Oriental
Louis Vuitton created a dazzling catwalk show full of glittering oriental styles in sumptuous deep colours. The Far East is a huge source of fashion inspiration this Easter, from cuts to prints. To add an instant eastern feel to your outfit, go for a top with an oriental style collar, as this will be right on trend. Chinese and Japanese prints are also hot this season. They look particularly good on sumptuous materials like silk, so look out for an oriental print silk dress or blouse. Kimono style wrap around dresses are in style, which is great news as they'll suit almost all body shapes.
Minimal white
White is a big trend this spring, but to get extra style points go for the minimal white trend. Michael Kors sent simple white polo necks and long straight white trousers down the catwalk, whilst Calvin Klein went for simple white shift dresses. To get the look go for simple cuts with little fuss or detailing. A crisp white shirt, white capri pants, or a white racer back top are all perfect for this style. Steer clear of ruffles, lace, tassels and other items that will make your look fussy.
1970s
The glamour and the decadence of the 1970s is a key look this Easter. Whether you like the idea of a wide brimmed hat, a long maxi dress, or super sized sunnies, you're bound to find one aspect of the 1970s trend that's right for you. If you like to go all out with your look then opt for a long catsuit and team it with sky high platforms.
